Correlate App Privacy Policy

We believe your health data belongs to you—and only you.

This Privacy Policy explains how Correlate ("we," "our," or "the App") interacts with your data. The short version is simple: We do not collect, store, or sell your personal health data. All analysis happens locally on your device.

1. Our "Local-First" Philosophy

Correlate operates on a strict local-first basis. This means:

• We do not have servers that store your health data.
• We do not require you to create an account.
• Your health data never leaves your iPhone.

2. HealthKit Data Usage

To function, Correlate requests permission to read data from Apple's HealthKit database on your iPhone.

• What we read: We request read-only access to metrics such as Heart Rate, Heart Rate Variability (HRV), Sleep Analysis, Step Count, Active Energy, Exercise Minutes, and Weight.
• How we use it: This data is processed locally on your device's processor to:
  • Calculate statistical correlations (e.g., how exercise affects sleep).
  • Generate visual charts and dashboards.
  • Provide personalized insights and health scores.
• Data Write-Back: Correlate is a read-only analysis tool. We do not write data back to your HealthKit database.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your HealthKit data to third parties.

• No Advertising: We do not use your health data for advertising, marketing, or use-based data mining.
• No Third-Party Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics SDKs (like Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel) that track your specific health metrics.

4. Data Retention

Because we do not transmit your data to any server, we do not "retain" your data. Your data remains in your Apple Health app on your iPhone.
